About the Role:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will deliver a broad spectrum of nursing services to patients, families, and communities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Teaching, counseling, and advocating for patients and their families.
  • Leading an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.
  • Providing safe, quality, patient-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.

Important Information:

Provisional Permit Holders will receive a specific pay rate, which will be adjusted upon registration as a Registered Nurse in accordance with applicable agreements. This position may be used to fill multiple identical vacancies as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have completed an accredited nursing education program and be actively registered or eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is also required. For those who have not practiced as a Registered Nurse in the last five years, completion of specific courses is mandatory.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Applicants should demonstrate leadership abilities, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in an acute care setting. Significant experience in various clinical environments, including emergency and medical-surgical units, is preferred. Continuous professional development and maintaining clinical competence are essential.
