Role Overview:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing a broad spectrum of nursing services to individuals, families, and communities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing nursing processes through critical thinking, problem-solving, and informed decision-making.
  • Teaching, counseling, and advocating for patients and their families.
  • Leading efforts to promote an integrated and holistic approach to patient care and health maintenance.
  • Delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with the core values of Alberta Health Services.

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have completed an accredited nursing education program and hold an active or eligible registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Additionally, current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification is required. For those who have not practiced as a Registered Nurse in the past five years, completion of specified courses is mandatory.

  • Leadership capabilities and critical thinking skills in a charge nurse capacity within an acute care environment.
  • Significant experience across various acute clinical settings, including emergency and medical-surgical units.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining clinical competence.
  • Completion of relevant continuing education courses is advantageous.
