About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cement Operations Supervisor to join our team at Magnum Cementing Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure successful cementing jobs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Job Management: Manage and coordinate day-to-day field primary and remedial cementing operations, ensuring timely arrival of personnel, equipment, and materials at location.
  • Cementing Operations: Execute successful cementing jobs according to design and client specifications, understanding rigging in/out procedures and ensuring efficient handling of day-to-day operations.
  • Quality Control: Ensure critical tasks are completed on every cementing job, including measuring cement density, collecting samples, and maintaining equipment.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and internal departments, including Sales and Dispatch, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to and enforce company Safety policies, ensuring compliance with HSE legislation and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit reports, including end-of-well, end-of-month, incident, and maintenance reports, as required.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Valid Class 1 (Canada) or Class A CDL (U.S.) driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Physical Demands: Physically capable of moving and lifting heavy objects, standing, gripping, sitting, driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
  • Work Schedule: Able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and be on call 24 hours on a rotational schedule.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate the work of others, with strong leadership and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software, with ability to perform calculations required to execute a cement job.
  • Industry Experience: Experience operating cement and bulk equipment, with ability to rebuild equipment and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills, with ability to develop and maintain strong external and internal client relationships.
