- Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
The successful candidate will work in a variety of settings including:
- Fast food outlets
- Restaurants
- Food service establishments
As a Food Service Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing effective methods to meet work schedules.
- Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of staff responsible for food preparation and portioning.
- Training team members in their job duties, as well as sanitation and safety protocols.
- Estimating the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation.
- Hiring and onboarding new food service staff.
- Ensuring that food quality and service meet established standards.
- Preparing budgets and cost estimates for operations.
- Addressing customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
- Maintaining accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Preparing and submitting reports on operational performance.
- Summarizing food orders for the chef.
- Supervising the assembly of trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
- Establishing work schedules for staff.
This position typically requires:
- A permanent employment status.
- Working hours ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Fluency in English as the primary working language.
