Trican is seeking a skilled Cement Operator to join our team. As a Cement Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our cement pumping equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure Safety First: Prioritize Trican's core value of 'We won't put anyone in harm's way' in all activities.
- Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely and efficiently drive truck-mounted/tractor trailer pumping equipment between locations.
- Perform Pre-Job Calculations: Learn to perform basic calculations, including blending and mixing, as well as volumetric and hydrostatic calculations.
- Attend Pre-Job Safety Meetings: Participate in pre-job safety meetings on location to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct Pre and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre and post-trip inspections and accurately complete corresponding driver log forms.
- Assist with Rig-Up and Rig-Out: Assist in the rig-up of treating iron, manifolds, and recording equipment under qualified supervision, and assist in the rig-out of all equipment.
- Maintain Equipment: Maintain pumping units and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's licence.
- High School Diploma: Hold a high school diploma, which is an asset.
- Safe Driving Skills: Demonstrate safe driving skills, and a driver's abstract will be requested.
- Physical Fitness: Be physically fit, with heavy lifting required.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong Leadership Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership and managerial skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Be skilled in problem-solving techniques.
