Restaurant Assistant Manager

Crabby Joe's Bar and Grill, Kitchener is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate daily operations and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback to ensure high standards are met.
- Plan and organize daily operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and scheduling.
- Set staff work schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
- Supervise staff and provide guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties.
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities, and participate in marketing plans and implementation.
- Leading/instructing individuals, addressing customers' complaints or concerns, and providing customer service.
- Manage events, including weddings, parties, and corporate functions.
- 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role.
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Urban area experience, with a willingness to relocate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
