In Canada, Babcock has established a strong presence in the Aviation sector, collaborating with governmental bodies to provide essential services. Our ongoing initiatives include the development of our Rotary Wing division, where we support vital aero-medical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the procurement of inventory for rotary wing operations, focusing on specialized and non-specialized aviation components necessary for aircraft maintenance.
- Source parts and materials in accordance with the Maintenance Policy Manual, ensuring compliance with documentation and Aircraft Maintenance Organizations (AMOs).
- Engage with suppliers to cultivate and manage relationships, addressing performance, risk, and improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding repair timelines and parts delivery, while monitoring requests and communicating any potential delays.
- Maintain optimal inventory stock levels and submit new suppliers for the Authorized Supplier List.
- Create Purchase and Repair Orders using CAMP, the Maintenance Tracking Software, and collaborate with the Procurement team on Industrial and Financial System (IFS) Purchase Orders.
- Foster strong relationships with Aviation customers and stakeholders, providing necessary reporting on KPIs and materials.
- Report safety hazards through the Safety Management System (SMS) and participate in assigned training programs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree/diploma in a related field is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Aviation industry, with knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations and parts certifications.
- Experience in Aviation Stores and Purchasing is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and suppliers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Eligibility for a Reliability Clearance.
