About the Role

Araujo Custom Stone and Landscaping is seeking a skilled Masonry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for laying bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units to create beautiful and durable structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and lay masonry units to exact specifications, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Lay bricks and stone to provide a strong and attractive veneer facing.
  • Construct and install prefabricated masonry units to meet project requirements.
  • Build decorative installations such as patios, garden walls, and other features.
  • Work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages, ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Cut and trim masonry units to specification using hand and power tools.
  • Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures to maintain their appearance and integrity.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces to ensure durability.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
  • Perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling to complete projects efficiently.
  • Work a standard 35-hour week with a permanent schedule.
  • Communicate effectively in English to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
