Environmental Services Director

Role Overview:The Environmental Services Director is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing outstanding leadership and inspiration to our staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee, organize, and evaluate operational functions across housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance sectors.
- Implement routine preventative maintenance protocols to guarantee the safe operation of equipment and building systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop budgets, manage stock levels, and order necessary supplies and equipment.
- Serve as the primary contact for contracted service providers and manage inspections and assessments from external agencies.
- Engage in recruitment processes, team member relations, performance evaluations, and training initiatives.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as required.
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent educational background.
- Proven experience in building maintenance, plumbing, electrical work, and grounds upkeep.
- Familiarity with best practices in housekeeping and laundry services.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Word and Excel.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Demonstrated managerial or supervisory experience.
- Understanding of relevant legislation pertaining to Long Term Care Homes Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Background in a Long Term Care environment.
All candidates must successfully complete a Vulnerable Sector Check or Criminal Records Check as applicable.
