Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit individual to join our team as a Mechanic Helper at STEELHEAD TRUCK AND TRAILER REPAIR LTD. As a Mechanic Helper, you will assist our experienced mechanics in performing various tasks related to truck and trailer repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist mechanics in performing routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers
  • Move tools, equipment, and other materials as needed
  • Hold stakes during surveying activities
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
Work Environment

As a Mechanic Helper, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a team of experienced mechanics. The work site environment is noisy and dusty, and you will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Requirements
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads (up to 23 kg/50 lbs)
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, and reliability
