About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and physically fit individual to join our team at Earth to Table The Farm as a Landscape Maintenance Specialist. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tending to Plants and Lawns
    • Tie and secure plants to ensure stability and promote healthy growth
    • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance
    • Cut grass to maintain a uniform height and promote healthy growth
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance
    • Operate and maintain small engine equipment, such as lawn mowers and trimmers
    • Use sod cutters and tractor mowers to maintain large areas of grass
    • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Site Maintenance
    • Rake and collect refuse to maintain a clean and safe work environment
    • Remove litter and garbage to promote a healthy and sustainable work environment
    • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to maintain soil quality
  • Task Completion
    • Lay sod or seed to promote healthy growth and maintain a lush appearance
    • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy growth and maintain soil quality
    • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure optimal growth and health
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
      • Experience an asset, but not required
    • Work Environment
      • Outdoors, working in a farm and landscape maintenance setting
    • Work Setting
      • Farm and landscape maintenance environment
    • Equipment and Machinery Experience
      • Small engine equipment experience
      • Sod cutter experience
      • Tractor mower experience
      • Weed trimmer/edger experience
      Working Conditions
      • 30 to 44 hours per week
      • Permanent position
      • English language required
