We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to complex patient populations in our ICU department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized care planning and delivery to patients with complex medical conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Manage multiple nursing interventions simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current certification in BCLS
- Recent experience in Critical Care Nursing with experience in the care of complex patient populations
- Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in conjunction with basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized care planning and delivery
- Identify and recognize abnormal or unexpected patient responses and take appropriate action
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions
- Strong interprofessional and communication skills
- Certification or completion of Lead II Arrhythmia Interpretation Program
- Certification, or recent continuing education in Critical Care Nursing
- Current certifications in TNCC, PALS, ENPC, and ACLS
- A competitive salary range of $39.070 to $56.000
