This role reports directly to the Vice-President of Sales and is tasked with overseeing all facets of the sales cycle for designated clients within the specified module or vertical market segment. The Senior Account Executive serves as the main liaison for all proactive sales initiatives related to network services, IT consulting, IT managed services, and hardware IT products, while also managing the overall client relationship. This position collaborates with and offers support to various levels of sales personnel and management. Key responsibilities include identifying, qualifying, and securing significant business opportunities. Customer satisfaction and financial outcomes (revenue and/or gross profit) are directly linked to the effectiveness of this role. A successful Senior Account Executive will create and implement sales strategies and plans to effectively achieve sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish relationships and develop account strategies to enhance revenues and/or gross profits within the designated module or vertical market segment, ensuring a high level of activity in accounts to meet planned results.
- Oversee the overall sales strategy and coordination of relevant overlay sales and technical resources (e.g., Practice Leads, Technical Sales Engineers). Emphasize the discovery of new solution opportunities, safeguard existing revenue streams, manage internal and external communications, escalate pertinent challenges to management, and uphold overall client satisfaction.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide precise forecasts to sales management regarding network and IT-related services and solutions.
- Participate in account team reviews and strategy sessions aimed at preserving existing business and generating new revenue opportunities.
Qualifications
- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience is preferred.
- Previous training or experience in managing large or strategic accounts.
- Experience in network services, IT consulting, IT managed services, and hardware IT products is preferred.
Education
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, typically obtained through four years of university education.
