Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager in overseeing daily operational tasks
- Work collaboratively with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to ensure efficient prescription processing
- Handle the labeling and filling/refilling of prescriptions independently
- Conduct thorough checks to guarantee prescription accuracy
- Coordinate with Patient Programs regarding pharmacy duties
- Manage inventory levels and oversee billing and claims processes
- Support patients during prescription pickups
- Input and verify prescription information in the system
- Screen incoming calls and relay pertinent information to the Pharmacist
- Package and dispatch prescription orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Report any Adverse Events as necessary
- Renew professional registration annually and engage in Quality Assurance activities
- Perform additional tasks as required
- May be required to be available for on-call duties
Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited institution
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting
- Proficient in Kroll and Microsoft Office applications
- Bilingual in French and English is preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of pharmacy operations
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and business insight
- Strong analytical abilities and communication skills
- Capability to work autonomously and adhere to deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
