Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development and implementation of patient care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, research, and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and care delivery.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Recent experience in emergency nursing, preferably in a critical care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to collaboration and mutual respect.
- Bilingualism (English/French) or proficiency in an Indigenous language.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technologies.
- Knowledge of quality improvement principles and practices.
- Completion of a recognized emergency nursing certification program.
