Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Operator to join our team at Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited. As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our contracted assets, including roadways, medians, signs, guardrails, fences, bridges, tunnels, and vegetation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment such as graders, tractors, and mowers to maintain and repair roadways and infrastructure.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, and performing minor repairs.
  • Assist in the removal of snow and ice from roadways and infrastructure during winter months.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment as required for surface and right-of-way maintenance and repair.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related work experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industrial repair, maintenance, or landscaping.
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Successful completion of training in traffic control methods, first aid, transportation of dangerous goods, WHMIS, and job-related aspects of Occupational Health.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment is also required.
