Position Overview
The Head of Technology Delivery is responsible for steering the technology division at AIR MILES, ensuring the strategic execution of all technological aspects to align with the organization's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes the overarching vision and strategy, including architectural frameworks, enhancing business capabilities, and defining clear, measurable success metrics.
- Provides leadership and direction for the development and execution of innovative, cost-efficient information technology strategies, investment frameworks, and operational environments aimed at maximizing AIR MILES' technology investments, improving cost efficiency, service quality, and supporting robust growth.
- Develops and advocates for the AIR MILES technology strategy and roadmap, prioritizing initiatives for the next 3–5 years, and owning the technology vision across all technical departments.
- Effectively communicates technology strategies, initiatives, and progress to stakeholders and the broader organization.
- Drives the modernization and rationalization of systems and platforms to meet business needs, implementing technology solutions in an incremental and Agile manner.
- Collaborates with Finance stakeholders to ensure project capitalization and tracking using both Agile and traditional methodologies.
- Works closely with the Head of Product and other executive leaders to ensure that the necessary technical enablers are developed to meet product and business requirements.
- Continues the comprehensive technology transformation aimed at accelerating business delivery and enhancing productivity.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experience. A Master's degree in Computer Science or an MBA with a technology focus is preferred.
- Extensive expertise in IT development and implementation, with over 15 years of managerial experience in the financial services sector.
- More than 15 years of experience in managing or directing IT operations.
- Deep, hands-on technical proficiency in designing and implementing cloud-based, real-time technology stacks within complex IT environments.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Structure:
This position offers a salaried compensation structure.
The compensation range is reflective of AIR MILES' pay scale and may vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role. For part-time positions, salaries will be adjusted based on hours worked. Commission-based roles will have a salary that represents AIR MILES' expected target for the first year.
AIR MILES' total compensation package may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and additional perks and rewards. Benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, life and accident insurance, and retirement savings plans.
