About the Role

HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. is seeking a skilled Mechanism Repair Specialist to join our team. As a Mechanism Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanism repair activities, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection of components, replacement of certain components, mechanical and electrical tests, and writing of repair reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of high voltage switchgear equipment
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repair tasks on circuit breaker control mechanisms
  • Inspect and test electrical and mechanical components to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Write detailed repair reports and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the production floor

Requirements

  • Professional diploma in electromechanics or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in industrial mechanics, pneumatic and hydraulic fluids, electricity, industrial mechanical and electrical manufacturing and assembly
  • Experience in using manual crimper tools, electric drills, and screwdrivers
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams
  • Ability to assemble components using assembly drawings and component lists
  • Background check required prior to employment

Working Conditions

  • 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Clean and air-conditioned production floor
  • Mandatory clothing: safety shoes and safety glasses provided by HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC.
  • No possibility of teleworking
