About the Role

HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC. is seeking a skilled Mechanism Repair Specialist to join our team. As a Mechanism Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanism repair activities, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection of components, replacement of certain components, mechanical and electrical tests, and writing of repair reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of high voltage switchgear equipment
  • Carry out mechanism repair activities, including disassembly, cleaning, inspection of components, replacement of certain components, mechanical and electrical tests, and writing of repair reports
  • Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of other high voltage switchgear equipment
  • Any other task as needed

Requirements

  • Professional diploma in electromechanics or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in activities related to industrial mechanics, pneumatic and hydraulic fluids, electricity; industrial mechanical and electrical manufacturing and assembly
  • Experience in using a manual crimper tool, electric drill and screwdriver, vernier
  • Be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams
  • Be able to assemble components using assembly drawings and component lists
  • A background check will be required prior to employment
  • Experience in small format electronics will not be considered
  • Diploma, electrotechnician or electrician
  • Permit for the use of overhead crane
  • License for forklift use

Working Conditions

  • Work timetable: 40 hours Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Start of employment: As soon as possible
  • Workplace: clean and air-conditioned production floor
  • Mandatory clothing: Wearing safety shoes and safety glasses (provided by HITACHI ENERGY CANADA INC.)
  • No possibility of teleworking
