Investment Products & Asset Management Associate

Blakes is seeking a mid-to-senior level Associate with relevant work experience to join our leading Investment Products & Asset Management practice group in the Toronto office.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have three to five years of securities practice experience in the investment management industry, including public and private investment funds, as well as compliance and registration related matters.

We are one of the largest and most experienced in Canada, with lawyers who are leaders in the industry. Our clients include prominent Canadian and global portfolio managers, investment fund managers, financial institutions, investment dealers, service providers, and investors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of innovative financial products
  • Handle novel and complex transactions
  • Act and advise buyers and sellers in acquisitions and divestitures involving investment management businesses
