Key ResponsibilitiesThe Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen. The main duties include:
- Developing and implementing strategies to meet work schedules.
- Supervising and coordinating the activities of kitchen staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Training team members on job responsibilities, hygiene standards, and safety protocols.
- Estimating and ordering necessary ingredients and supplies.
- Recruiting and hiring food service personnel.
- Ensuring compliance with food service standards and quality control measures.
- Preparing budgets and cost estimates for kitchen operations.
- Addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints.
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
- Compiling and submitting operational reports.
- Preparing food order summaries for the chef.
- Possessing knowledge of various culinary styles relevant to the establishment.
- Overseeing the assembly of food trays and the delivery of food services.
- Creating and managing work schedules for kitchen staff.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
