Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective methods to achieve work schedules
  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning
  • Provide training to staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols
  • Assess the ingredients and supplies necessary for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food quality and service meet established standards
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports
  • Compile food order summaries for the chef
  • Possess knowledge of the restaurant's culinary specialties
  • Establish and manage work schedules for staff
Support for Newcomers and Refugees

The Culinary Operations Supervisor will also assist with the immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, including:

  • Providing support for housing, transportation, and childcare
  • Recruiting individuals displaced by conflict or natural disasters
  • Facilitating foreign credential recognition for newcomers
