Job Summary:
H&R Block Canada is seeking an Experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic HR support and direction to our CSC Departments and Field Associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Deliver HR Programs: Develop, deliver, and evaluate HR corporate training programs that cater to the business's specific requirements, focusing on leadership skills and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).
- Employee Relations and Investigations: Handle and resolve intricate employee relations matters, ensuring thorough and impartial workplace investigations, along with maintaining precise documentation.
- Performance Management and Succession Planning: Work closely with People Leaders and Associates to provide guidance on performance management, career advancement, succession planning, and assistance in resolving workplace concerns.
- HR Policy Development and Compliance: Review and formulate HR policies annually, offering advice and interpretation to guarantee compliance with HR regulations.
- HR Trend Analysis and Insights: Examine HR trends and metrics, utilizing insights to devise effective HR solutions, programs, and policies.
- Change Management and Transition Support: Aid leaders in managing transitions during the implementation of new processes and initiatives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about provincial employment regulations, ensuring compliance throughout the organization.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: Degree in Human Resources or a related field and seven years of HR generalist experience, including a minimum of three years in developing HR corporate training programs, or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
- Skills and Attributes: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills. Fluency in French is a valuable asset. Strategic thinker adept at aligning HR strategies with business objectives. Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws across Canada. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Skills in change management to support organizational shifts. Demonstrated ability in collaboration and building relationships. Capacity to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Robust business acumen. Flexibility and adaptability. Self-motivated and proactive. Effective influencing and negotiation skills. Proven cultural awareness and sensitivity.
