Job Summary

Fraser Health is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Facilities Management Projects to lead the planning, design, and construction of healthcare facilities across the organization. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Facilities Planning and Projects team to ensure the successful delivery of capital projects
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for facilities development, including site planning, business case development, and feasibility studies
  • Oversee the management of multiple facilities projects from concept to completion, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Liaise with senior leaders, external stakeholders, and community groups to represent Fraser Health's interests and negotiate agreements and approvals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, and other external partners to ensure the successful delivery of projects
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and budgets to ensure the efficient management of facilities projects
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues as they arise
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members to ensure their growth and success
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as architecture, engineering, or business administration
  • 10+ years of experience in facilities management, project management, or a related field
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
