Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Star House Family Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of food quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient service
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit reports on restaurant performance
    • Establish work schedules and manage staff rotas
  • Security and Safety
    • Ensure a safe and secure working environment for staff and customers
    • Maintain basic security clearance
  • Personal Qualities
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in a food service or restaurant management role
  • Ability to relocate for the position
  • Basic security clearance
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. The position requires the ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
