About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Academic Administrative Assistant to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our academic support team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless coordination and execution of contracts, high-priority meetings, and communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Senior Teams: You will work closely with our senior academic team to provide administrative support with academic appeals, student services, operations, and other program support as required.
  • Project Work: You will assist in the development and implementation of a governance framework and process for student appeals, and work closely with the Academic Appeals Committee.
  • Committee Support: You will maintain files for campus-wide academic and operational committees, including Academic Council, Campus Operations Committee, and ad hoc committees.
  • Documentation and Scheduling: You will update and disseminate term and annual campus governance and administration schedules, and maintain currency of the campus Faculty Handbook.
  • Administrative Support: You will provide administrative and clerical support, including organizing operations, scheduling meetings and events, processing expense claims, and preparing for regulatory site visits.
  • Relationship Building: You will foster collaboration and open communication with staff, faculty, students, and third-party partners.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: You may have a diploma or degree in a business-related field or have gained your knowledge in other ways. You have experience supporting managers, managing filing and communications, and coordinating meetings, ideally in a higher education environment.
  • Project Management Skills: You have experience coordinating projects from end to end, and are a creative problem solver able to balance and change priorities, anticipate and respond to issues, and manage details.
  • Technical Skills: You have expertise in MS Office Suite and familiarity with project management, productivity, and communication tools.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You have professional communication skills, including conducting and tracking research, writing documentation, and creating reports. You can influence without authority, manage conflict, and nurture trusting relationships at any level.
