We seek a technically proficient Senior Waste Management Engineer eager to contribute to the expansion of our North American team, leveraging GHD's extensive experience in innovative technologies.

As a member of our global team, you will tackle complex and fulfilling projects, positioning yourself at the forefront of transformative initiatives.
In collaboration with a dynamic and high-achieving team, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading projects focused on waste and energy solutions for both municipal and private sector clients, encompassing permitting, detailed design, construction oversight, operational support, and various studies.
- Conducting peer reviews of designs produced by team members.
- Building and nurturing enduring relationships with municipal and private clients and prospects.
- Providing mentorship to intermediate and junior technical personnel across North America.
- Guiding the technical development of new project proposals.
- Engaging in communication with regulatory bodies.
- Offering leadership in the strategic growth and direction of the North American team.
What you bring to our team:
- Registered Engineer with a P.Eng. designation in Ontario; additional accreditations in other regions are advantageous.
- Over 15 years of experience in the solid waste sector.
- A minimum of 10 years in a consulting capacity.
- Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project oversight and fieldwork.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD or Civil 3D is a plus.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate within a highly skilled and diverse project team.
- Experience in landfill and landfill gas management, transfer station operations, and waste facility design. Knowledge of organic waste processing and energy projects is beneficial.
