Responsibilities:- Provide overall leadership and management of the long term care neighborhood, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care and services.
- Champion the designated care manager concept and the universal care manager model throughout the neighborhood.
- Assist in the recruiting, hiring, and training of team members in the neighborhood.
- Complete staffing, scheduling, and daily reviews of timekeeping reports.
- Responsible for team member recognition and engagement, performance management, and evaluations.
- Facilitate resident care in-services and the completion of Individualized Care Plans (ICPs).
- One (1) year experience preferred in assisted living long term care or hospital industries or experience/exposure to the senior population.
- College degree and management experience may be required per provincial requirements.
- One (1) year supervisory and management experience including hiring staff, coaching, performance management, daily operations supervision, discipline, and counseling.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles, and interests.
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations.
- Competent in organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications with the ability to learn new applications.
