Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Umi Sushi Express. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including sushi and other Japanese cuisine
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a well-stocked kitchen
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient service
  • Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions
  • Permanent position
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English language required
