About the Opportunity

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is a leading supplier of custom equipment, process systems, and engineering consultant services for the Nuclear industry in Canada. The successful candidate will join an innovative team that supports Westinghouse's mission to provide clean energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Supporting the manufacturing operations team in the execution of manufacturing project commitments.
  • Planning processes and scheduling with work-in-progress production updates, fabrication completion, and delivery updates.
  • Assisting production leaders to create and instruct credible production plans and schedules that balance available capacity and resources.
  • Ensuring work in progress through production sequence.
  • Preparing transportation documentation packages, according to regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting logistics planning for incoming/outgoing shipments.
  • Planning and managing inventory for work in progress, including surplus and excess inventory.
  • Timely releasing internal deliverables to support production activities dependent on appropriate documents to maintain delivery schedules.
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities for planning, control, inventory, production, and delivery lead times.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5 years of experience in a project-based manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in production planning and control.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software, including MS Project (P6 an asset).
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
  • Load and capacity planning experience.
  • Inventory planning experience.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey information effectively.
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints/drawings and schematics.
  • A post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field (Business Admin, Technical, etc.).
  • SAP knowledge and experience an asset.
