Position Overview

The role of the Food Service Supervisor is essential in overseeing the daily operations of food preparation and service. This position requires a strong leader who can effectively manage staff and ensure high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve work schedules.
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of food preparation staff.
  • Provide training to employees on their responsibilities, hygiene, and safety protocols.
  • Assess and calculate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Recruit and hire food service personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with quality control standards for food and service.
  • Prepare financial budgets and cost projections.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Compile and submit operational reports.
  • Prepare summaries of food orders for the culinary team.
  • Possess knowledge of various culinary styles and cuisines.
  • Supervise the assembly of meal trays.
  • Oversee the delivery of food service trolleys.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This position supervises a team of 3-4 individuals, including food service attendants and food preparers.

Work Environment
  • Fast-paced and dynamic work setting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
  • Extended periods of standing and physical activity are required.

Experience Requirements

Employment Information

This is a permanent, full-time position with a standard work schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $16.75.
