About the Role

Kainos is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to lead our multi-skilled agile teams in designing and delivering high-quality solutions that delight our customers and impact the lives of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-skilled agile teams to design and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Work with customer architects to agree functional and non-functional designs
  • Advise customers and managers on estimated effort, technical implications, and complexity surrounding designs
  • Manage, coach, and develop a small number of staff, focusing on employee performance and career development
  • Provide direction and leadership for the team in solving challenging problems
  • Work with peers to develop policy and standards, share knowledge, and mentor others
  • Advise on new technologies and approaches, with room to learn, develop, and grow

Requirements

  • Successful delivery of software designs for multi-tiered modern software applications
  • Understanding of whole solution architecture concepts and ability to communicate and negotiate with customer architects
  • Prioritization of non-functional concerns for customers and experience incorporating these into application design
  • Experience with public cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure, including SaaS and PaaS offerings
  • Able to simply and clearly communicate technical design in conversation, documentation, and presentations
  • Able to make effective decisions within fast-moving delivery
  • Demonstrated ability in managing, coaching, and developing junior members of the team and wider community

Desirable Qualifications

  • Proven experience being accountable for all sizes of technology delivery challenges, e.g., project, multi-team program
  • Pro-actively developed business across an account with sales and account managers
  • Experience in managing others, setting objectives, giving feedback, and leading performance reviews
  • Able to prioritize time across multiple major projects
  • Actively shares thoughts and views on technology
  • Participated in technology communities
