Position Summary

As a Supply Chain Coordinator at Harbinger Motors, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal production scheduling through effective material planning and inventory oversight. Your contributions will be essential in sustaining smooth supply chain operations and achieving production goals with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Scheduling:
    • Work closely with production leaders to create and refine detailed production schedules that align with customer demand and operational capacity.
    • Track production progress and modify schedules as necessary to adapt to fluctuations in demand or operational changes.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Ensure precise inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products to support continuous production.
    • Leverage ERP and inventory systems to monitor stock levels, assess usage trends, and predict future material requirements.
    • Develop strategies to minimize stock shortages, decrease surplus inventory, and enhance inventory turnover rates.
  • Supplier Coordination:
    • Engage with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of materials and components in line with production schedules.
    • Assess supplier performance based on delivery timeliness, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing to secure favorable procurement terms.
  • Demand Forecasting:
    • Examine historical data and market trends to produce accurate demand forecasts.
    • Collaborate with sales and production teams to validate forecasts and adjust plans accordingly.
    • Formulate contingency strategies to address supply chain risks and ensure a steady flow of materials.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Identify opportunities to enhance production processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
    • Apply lean manufacturing principles to foster continuous improvement in material planning and inventory management.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams aimed at process enhancement initiatives.
  • Collaboration:
    • Build strong relationships and maintain effective communication with teams across procurement, logistics, quality assurance, and engineering.
    • Provide regular updates on material availability and production status, addressing any potential scheduling issues.
    • Collaborate on strategies to resolve supply chain challenges and enhance operational performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in material planning, production scheduling, or supply chain management within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
