We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Golden Life Management. As an Assisted Living Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our seniors.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care services to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and hygiene-related duties as outlined in individualized personal service plans.
- Respond to scheduled and unscheduled requests from residents for assistance, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and respectful manner.
- Participate in social and recreational programs, including group activities, outings, and special events, to promote socialization and engagement among residents.
- Perform housekeeping, laundry, and dietary duties, maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for residents.
- Assist with dining room preparation and meal service, ensuring residents receive nutritious and appealing meals.
- Interact with residents, guests, and staff in a courteous and respectful manner, fostering a positive and inclusive community.
- Complete required documentation, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Act as a positive and constructive team player, contributing to exceptional customer experiences and a collaborative work environment.
- Follow security and infection control policies and procedures, prioritizing the health and safety of residents and staff.
- Current registration and good standing as a Health Care Assistant with the British Columbia Care Aide and Community Health Worker Registry (BCCACHWR).
- Certificates in First Aid and Food Safe are preferred.
- Ability to work nights, 12-hour shifts, and weekends, as required.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs.
- Proven computer experience.
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check.
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.
