At Socotra, Inc., we're passionate about creating innovative transportation solutions that improve people's lives. As an Android Software Engineer Intern, you'll play a key role in shaping our mobile app's user experience.

About the Role

We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Android team as an intern. As a software engineer, you'll work closely with our team to design, develop, and test new features, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Android team to build and maintain our mobile app
  • Design and develop new features, focusing on user experience and analytics-driven decisions
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes
  • Work in a collaborative environment, sharing ideas and learning from others
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science from a Canadian university, with a graduation date between December 2025 and Summer 2026
  • Available for the internship in Toronto during Summer 2025
  • Strong knowledge of Kotlin and experience developing Android mobile apps
  • Passion for community, sustainability, and/or transportation
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment and contribute to open-source projects
