At Socotra, Inc., we're passionate about creating innovative transportation solutions that make a real difference in people's lives. As an Android Software Engineer Intern, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our mobile apps and contributing to our mission.

About the Role

We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Android team as an intern. As a software engineer, you'll work closely with our experienced team to design, develop, and test new features and improvements for our Android apps.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our Android team to develop and maintain high-quality mobile apps
  • Design and implement new features and improvements based on user feedback and analytics data
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to the development of our Android apps using Kotlin and other relevant technologies
  • Work closely with our team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of new features
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science from a Canadian university
  • Available for the internship in Toronto during Summer 2025
  • Strong knowledge of Kotlin and experience developing Android mobile apps
  • Passion for community, sustainability, and/or transportation
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment
  • Contributions to open-source projects
