This role is remote and reports to the Safety & Systems Assurance Manager. It encompasses the engineering responsibilities necessary to oversee the intricate engineering of systems, sub-systems, and components for various projects in alignment with international safety standards. This position offers opportunities to cultivate skills and experience in Systems Engineering areas such as Requirements Management, Systems Integration, and Configuration Management.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Deliver high-quality consultancy services within the safety and assurance sector.
  2. Facilitate assurance, certification, and safety activities, supporting various stakeholders including businesses and governmental organizations.
  3. Assist in formulating strategies to expand the Safety and Assurance service portfolio.
  4. Oversee project aspects including client relations, estimating, tendering, planning, resource allocation, and execution.
  5. Provide support for System Engineering, Verification & Validation, and Requirements Management teams in the execution of transit and freight signaling and control systems.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution with at least 5 years of relevant experience in safety assurance.
  2. Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or the capability to obtain it.
  3. Proven experience in developing and documenting Safety and Assurance arguments throughout the asset/project lifecycle.
  4. Familiarity with CENELEC, FTA Handbook for Safety & Security Certification, or MIL-STD-882e is advantageous.
  5. Demonstrated ability to support technical business functions and/or project teams in design, engineering, or consultancy settings.
