Job Summary

As an Educational Technology Support Specialist, you will provide expert learning technology support to faculty members, instructors, staff, and students. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, creating, and delivering solutions for learning technology platforms, including Brightspace, WordPress, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, iClickers, Kaltura, and Crowdmark.
  • Providing remote client support and assistance to faculty and students, troubleshooting technical issues and resolving problems efficiently.
  • Collaborating with other team members to develop and implement learning technology solutions that meet the needs of our diverse client base.
  • Staying up-to-date with new learning technologies and pedagogies, and applying this knowledge to improve our services and support.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline related to teaching and learning.
  • At least three years of experience working in an education environment, with a strong understanding of learning technology platforms and social media platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients who may not be technology-savvy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose solutions to complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency in multiple browsers and the MS Office suite, with the ability to work with different media platforms and interpret technical documentation for the layperson.
Preferred Qualifications

We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • Teaching experience in a higher education environment.
  • A Master's degree in Education or Education Technology.
  • Experience with different media platforms, creating and editing video content.
