Job Title: Service Engineering Specialist

New Flyer is a leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses, and we're seeking a skilled Service Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our service engineering team, you will be responsible for determining root cause and corrective action for issues affecting our products in service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of commissioning activities, both onsite and/or remote, to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Create and evaluate service bulletins and instructions by working cross-functionally with subject matter experts and suppliers.
  • Investigate and resolve product issues of varying complexity by collaborating with vendors and engineering teams to implement recommended solutions.
  • Develop and maintain diagnostic tools to enable efficient serviceability and support cross-functional efforts to prevent the reoccurrence of known issues in the field.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.

Requirements:

  • Registered (or eligible to be registered) as an Engineer in Training, Professional Engineer, or Certified Engineering Technologist – Electrical.
  • 1-2 years' experience with troubleshooting electrical/electronic, software/firmware, or process failure modes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • An ability to prioritize and execute many tasks in parallel.
  • Proficient with MS Office.
