Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team. The successful candidate will be responsible for registering arriving guests, processing room reservations, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Registration: Register arriving guests and assign rooms in a timely and efficient manner.
- Room Reservations: Process room reservations, cancellations, and changes in accordance with hotel policies.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to guests, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Front Desk Operations: Manage the front desk area, ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available and in good working order.
- Cash Handling: Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently, balancing cash and completing balance sheets as required.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures, including first aid and fire evacuation protocols.
- Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical duties, including faxing, filing, and photocopying.
- Communication: Answer telephone calls and relay messages to guests and staff, as required.
- Special Requests: Assist guests with special requests, such as wake-up calls and special amenities.
- Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, as required.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Work Setting: Hotel, motel, or resort environment.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in computerized bookkeeping systems and internet applications.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is not available.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
