About the Role
BDO is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Receptionist to join our internal Administration team in St. John's. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients and colleagues, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to all customer inquiries, whether by phone or walk-in, in a timely and professional manner
- Receive and route calls, provide assistance, and direct inquiries to proper departments or individuals
- Maintain the front desk and reception area in an organized and professional manner
- Sort and deliver incoming mail, cheques, and courier packages, post outgoing mail
- Process payments and prepare bank deposits
- Create and/or update new customers and projects
- Provide administrative support to the team
- Assist in setting up meeting rooms and catering for training and events
- Deliver communication on general building maintenance
- Ensure reception is opened/closed appropriately and security requirements are met
- Order office supplies
- Submit weekly reports to management

Requirements
- You have strong communication skills and can clearly and confidently interact with others
- You have strong Microsoft Office skills for data entry and analysis
- You have at least 2+ years' experience in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment, with experience in completing tasks simultaneously
- You have an Office Administration diploma or similar education, which would be considered an asset
- You can maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and stay organized in a busy work environment
