Job Overview

The Deputy GBTS Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Training Information Management Systems (TIMS) at KF Aerospace. Reporting to the GBTS Manager, this position is responsible for assisting in the oversight and management of TIMS, including the coordination of changes to courseware and documentation used by the Department of National Defence (DND).

Key Responsibilities

  • Courseware Management: The Deputy GBTS Manager is responsible for the technical development and integration of courseware, training equipment, and TIMS. This includes coordinating required flying training equipment and courseware changes based on requirements provided by the MFO (Manager of Flying Operations). Additionally, the Deputy GBTS Manager will be responsible for courseware and software testing and validation, as well as the development, management, and delivery of training solutions.
  • Liaison with Software Companies and Allied Wings: The Deputy GBTS Manager will participate in the liaison between software companies and Allied Wings, ensuring that all technical issues are promptly communicated between organizations and issues are tracked and validated.
  • Training Program Improvement Committee (TPIC): The Deputy GBTS Manager will participate in the TPIC, contributing to the improvement of training programs.
  • Course Critique Program: The Deputy GBTS Manager will be responsible for the delivery and administration of the Course Critique Program, ensuring that Training Administration staff issues surveys to students in a timely manner. The Deputy GBTS Manager will review and deliver course survey results for course analysis reports and provide statistical analysis reports as requested by the GBTS Manager, MFO, and Site Manager.
  • Audits, Inspections, and Internal Reviews: The Deputy GBTS Manager will assist in audits, inspections, and internal reviews as required.
  • Acting GBTS Manager and Project Manager: The Deputy GBTS Manager will act as GBTS Manager as required and may also act as Project Manager at the discretion of the GBTS Manager.
  • Additional Tasks: The Deputy GBTS Manager will perform additional tasks as assigned by the GBTS Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 Years of Relevant Work Experience
  • Degree from Accredited University or College in Project or Business Management, or in Education
  • Experience in Instructional Design or Curriculum Review
  • Knowledge of Aviation/Military Terminology Preferred
  • Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Public Works and Government Services Clearance
  • Advanced Computer Skills in MS Office Programs
  • Ability to Travel within and Outside of Canada
  • Valid Passport and Driver's License
