Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Possession or ability to obtain a valid provincial Class 2-S Driver's License or higher.
  • Must hold a 2-S Endorsement Instructor's License.
  • Clean driving record, clear criminal background check, and successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Screening Test.
  • Prior training experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations for drivers.
  • Train current and new school bus drivers on health and safety protocols.
  • Assist drivers in upgrading their licenses to Class 2 with an S endorsement.
  • Punctually report to work and operate routes safely.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections using company tools.
  • Practice defensive driving techniques to prevent accidents.
  • Manage emergency evacuations and assist passengers as needed.
  • Address student behavior in accordance with company policies and report issues promptly.
  • Document all incidents, accidents, and vehicle defects immediately.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including route changes and timecards, efficiently.
  • Deliver vehicles for maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Adhere to all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

What You Bring:

  • A cheerful and positive attitude with a proactive approach.
  • At least two years of driving experience with a current driving record.
  • A clear criminal background check.
  • A commitment to making a positive impact on children's lives every day.
