- Relief Drivers typically work a split schedule from 6:00 am to 9:30 am and 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Position Responsibilities:
Drivers are tasked with the safe transportation of students daily, demonstrating a commitment to safety and exceptional customer service. Relief Drivers may experience layoff periods during school holidays, including July, August, Spring Break, and Christmas Break.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing required training for wheelchair accessibility.
- Willingness to operate any route and manage equipment for Complex Learning Needs (CLN) or School Bus.
- Performing assigned non-driving tasks during scheduled hours.
- Driving with caution and responsibility, prepared for varying road and weather conditions.
- Confirming with Dispatch regarding school schedules.
- Maintaining an organized route binder.
- Ensuring consistent radio communication and adhering to proper protocols.
- Being ready at the designated location as assigned by dispatch and maintaining scheduled communication.
- Effectively managing passenger behavior and resolving issues promptly.
- Reporting any bus misconduct to the school when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Class 5 (non-GDL) driver's license (FREE Class 2 training provided).
- A maximum of 4 demerits, with a relatively clean driving record.
- A clear criminal background check.
- A commercial driver's abstract spanning 10 years.
