Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our team in Lethbridge, Alberta. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components, equipment, and structures to meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with and participate in all C&A health and safety program requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding process specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal components using processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
  • Determine welding procedures to minimize distortion.
  • Operate trade-related equipment.
Requirements
  • Journeypersons shall possess an Alberta Welding Certificate or Inter-Provincial red seal.
  • Apprentices shall possess the education level (High School Diploma) as mandated by regulatory authorities.
  • Pass CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) welding tests.
  • Knowledge of metals, relevant product codes, regulations, and laws.
  • Knowledge of applied mathematics (i.e., fractions, measuring and geometry).
