As a Public Safety Liaison, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service in a face-to-face environment, utilizing multiple police databases to process, receive, and record motor vehicle collision reports, general inquiries, and requests for service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and record motor vehicle collision reports, general inquiries, and requests for service using police databases.
  • Provide quality client service in a face-to-face environment, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of statutes and laws, including The Criminal Code of Canada, Provincial and Federal Statutes, and Municipal Bylaws.
  • Successfully obtain and maintain Community Peace Officer status level II for the purpose of serving legal documents.
  • Obtain and maintain Commissioner of Oaths status for the Province of Alberta.
  • Pass RCMP security clearance prior to receiving an offer of employment and maintain clearance throughout employment.
  • Complete tested courses in PROS (end user), CPIC, CIIDS, and other applicable computer systems and databases.
  • Typing speed of 45wpm accurately.
  • Complete Police Client Service Representative training.
  • Work shift work, including evenings and weekends.

Affiliation:

The successful candidate will be a member of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 417.

Remuneration:

The hourly rate for this position is $36.50 to $38.42 per hour.

Hours of Work:

The successful candidate will work 75 hours biweekly, Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekend work required.
