The position requires the implementation of strategic sales initiatives and a deep understanding of customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management:

Develop and sustain relationships with key clients by comprehending their business goals, pinpointing growth avenues, and delivering customized solutions. Work collaboratively with internal teams to formulate account-specific strategies and initiatives. Responsible for achieving targets related to revenue, volume, and market share.

Sales Forecasting and Budget Management:

Create and oversee precise sales forecasts for key accounts, considering market trends and historical performance. Collaborate with internal departments to synchronize supply and distribution strategies to fulfill customer demand. Monitor promotional budgets and trade spending, ensuring optimal use and return on investment while upholding profitability objectives. Analyze sales data and the effectiveness of trade promotions to inform future sales and marketing strategies.

Client Relationship Management:

Act as the primary liaison for key accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving challenges, and delivering outstanding customer service. Conduct regular performance reviews, monitor account metrics, and identify opportunities for enhancement.

Market Research and Insights:

Remain updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Conduct market analysis, interpret data, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth.

Cross-Departmental Coordination:

Engage with various internal teams, including portfolio management, marketing, operations, business intelligence, and finance, to ensure the effective execution of sales and marketing strategies. Coordinate product launches, promotional efforts, and logistics to meet client expectations.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

Generate regular sales reports, performance assessments, and forecasts for management review. Track key performance indicators, identify trends, and develop action plans to meet sales goals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience managing significant key accounts or regional markets
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) is a strong asset
  • Background in the alcoholic beverage sector is highly advantageous
  • WSET Certification is considered a strong asset
