About the Role

Champion Tire & Wheels Distribution Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Operations Supervisor to join our team. As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Train and develop our team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly to prevent downtime and optimize productivity.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve work-related problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Work Coordination: Coordinate and assign work tasks, review progress, and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Customer Support: Provide ongoing support to clients after sale to ensure their satisfaction and build strong relationships.
  • Process Improvement: Establish work schedules and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Technical Knowledge: Utilize database software to manage inventory, track orders, and analyze data to inform business decisions.
  • Specialization: Apply operations management principles to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate strong organizational skills, reliability, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of the role.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Experience in operations management or a related field is an asset.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position working 30 hours per week. The work language is English.
