We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chief Estimator to oversee the estimation processes within the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Chief Estimator will be instrumental in leading bid efforts and driving strategic initiatives. This role requires a strong focus on establishing and managing the Estimation program, ensuring that projects are secured profitably and executed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and uphold the organization's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.

• Assess and propose opportunities for improvement to the executive leadership.

• Ensure uniformity in the preparation of final tender submissions.

• Oversee the estimating software systems to ensure optimal functionality.

• Lead teams for various project delivery methods, including traditional bidding, design-build, and public-private partnerships.

• Collaborate with the pre-construction team on client qualifications and significant bids, aiding in the acquisition of new contracts and the maintenance of client relationships.

• Develop and implement procedures for transitioning projects from the bidding phase to execution, fostering strategic relationships with key stakeholders.

• Support risk management strategies for pursued projects, including collaboration with the Risk Management team to review bids and implement necessary actions.

• Exhibit strong leadership qualities, focusing on talent development and promoting initiatives aimed at business excellence.

• Enforce the organization's Quality Assurance Program to maintain high standards.

• Travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience managing similar departments.

• Proven leadership capabilities, with a strong track record of achieving departmental objectives.

• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, adept at navigating complex scenarios to achieve favorable outcomes.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with internal teams and external partners.

• Proficient interpersonal skills, promoting collaboration across various departments and with external stakeholders.

• Ability to perform well under pressure, managing tight deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively.

• Strong analytical abilities, capable of interpreting data and making informed decisions to enhance departmental performance.

• Preferred certifications in ISO, LEAN, or SIX SIGMA, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement.

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for travel purposes.
