AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Bombardier is seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineering professional to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure and applications.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on cloud platforms.
- Implement and manage cloud infrastructure, including provisioning of compute, storage, network, and security.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management tasks using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy cloud-native applications and services.
- Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security issues and respond to incidents or alerts.
- Monitor budgeted cloud costs and work with value stream services for cost optimization proposals.
- Implement and manage cloud-based backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
- 5+ years of professional experience in an IT role.
- Certification(s) in AWS cloud solution foundations.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, including compute, storage, network, and security.
- Experience with cloud-native application development, including the use of microservices and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Functional familiarity with cloud-based security concepts, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
- Functional familiarity with infrastructure management, identity management, virtualization, and hosted services.
- Functional understanding of cloud-based automation and management tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with cloud security and compliance best practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools for cloud-based systems.
